Concept embodies futuristic vision of personal transportation

By looking to the past to forecast the future, Nissan on Wednesday unveiled an electric crossover concept at the 46th Tokyo Motor Show. Called the Ariya, the name traces back to ancient times (the company says it evokes images of respect and admiration), but also represents the company’s electrified future, said Yasuhiro Yamauchi, Nissan’s representative executive officer.
